Have You Prayed About It?

Psalm 107:28-30 Then they cried to the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them from their distress. He made the storm be still, and the waves of the sea were hushed. Then they were glad that the waters were quiet, and he brought them to their desired haven.

Father God, thank You for this vehicle called prayer; a tool that permits us to confidently approach Your throne of grace and share our deepest concerns. Lord, You hear and care about what’s on our hearts; whether it’s pronounced boldly, sobbed silently, or hidden deep in our hurting souls. As we journey through these troubled times, let us never forget that prayer is as vital as breathing; more life-sustaining than our daily meals; and more refreshing than cool water on an insufferably hot day. Prayer is essential.

Lord, we’ve found that continual prayer is required in order to stand courageously in the face of adversity. It enables us to maintain hope during desperate situations, discover direction when the path is unclear, and gain courage and strength to address life’s challenges. Ongoing prayer relieves our anxiety, grows our relationship with You, and transforms the way we think about life. Lord, through prayer, we become strong in Your power, spiritually wise in Your ways, and content in Your provisions.

Heavenly Father, during our spiritual walk, we discover immeasurable blessings that grow from deliberate immersion in the life-giving gift of prayer. Thank You, Lord, for the invitation to come boldly to Your throne of grace, where You dispense grace and mercy during times of our need. Heavenly Father, we receive the gift of prayer and will exercise the privilege every opportunity we get. Thank You, Lord. In Jesus’ name. Amen.
