Martin Lurther King Day
On Saturday, the members of Tacony Baptist Church were blessed to serve our community during our rescheduled MLK Day of Service. ❤️Living out our church focus, “Tacony Baptist Church: God’s Lifeline to the Community,” we divided into three teams—cleaning our streets, distributing groceries, and providing coats and blankets to help families prepare for the winter storm that followed.With the support of Nutritional Development Services (NDS), Community Life Improvement Program (CLIP), Shepherds House Ministries International, and our faithful church members, we were able to serve well over 50 families. We heard testimonies of gratitude, shared prayers, and offered comfort and encouragement.We are also thankful for the ongoing support and generous contributions of Councilmember Mike Driscoll and his office, Representative Pat Gallagher, and Fink’s Hoagies - toward this and many other community efforts.Our hearts were full as God used us to meet real needs and show His love in our community. 🙏
Community Garden
Our young friends from The Children’s Place Preschool enjoyed a day of planting in the Tacony Baptist Church vegetable garden. During the next several weeks they will care for the garden and monitor the growth. What fun!!! And what an awesome group of young people and teachers!!!
Sunrise Service
Resurrection Sunday Sunrise Service. What a wonderful way to begin our day! Tacony Baptist Church is pleased to continue this great fellowship with the Far Northeast Philadelphia Ministerium.
TBC's Pastor Evelyn Barnes and Pastor Hubert Barnes of Star of Hope Baptist Church were participants. The glorious wonder of the sun rising on Resurrection Sunday morning left is in awe of the mighty works of our God! Great beginning to a great day.
