Psalm 37:7 Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. Father God, we know the importance of coming to You in prayer. We are grateful for the comfort and strength that flow when we pour out our troubles, heartaches, confusion, and burdens before You. Yet Lord, we often forget that prayer is not only our words lifted to You, but also Your words whispered back to us. Teach us to wait in stillness, to listen with open hearts, to receive Your truth, and to rest in the assurance of Your great love. Heavenly Father, when You instruct us to “be still,” You are calling us to let go—to stop striving, to rest in Your presence, and to release our cares into Your hands. You invite us to loosen our tight grip on life’s struggles and entrust them to You, the Sovereign One who rules over all. We confess that we often spend our days trying to fix and control what only You can handle. But in surrendering, we are freed to hear Your voice and to acknowledge that You alone are God. Your voice comforts us in sorrow, brings peace in turmoil, and lights the path when the way seems hidden. Lord, You often speak not in shouts but in a gentle whisper, stirring our souls, redirecting our steps, and filling us with hope. Above all, You remind us that we are never alone, that Your presence surrounds us, and that Your love will carry us through. May Your gentle voice shape our hearts, renew our minds, and draw us closer to You. Teach us to be still before You, to wait patiently, and to say with Samuel of old: “Speak, Lord, for Your servant is listening.” In Jesus’ Name, Amen
