Ephesians 4:1-6 I, therefore, the prisoner of the Lord, beseech you to walk worthy of the calling with which you were called, 2 with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love, 3 endeavoring to keep the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. 4 There is one body and one Spirit, just as you were called in one hope of your calling; 5 one Lord, one faith, one baptism; 6 one God and Father of all, who is above all, and through all, and in you all.
Lord God, we pray for unity and peace to define all our relationships. We pray that the harmony born of Your love will prevail in our: homes, churches, family circles, groups of friends, neighborhoods and everywhere we go. Please move each of us to “walk in Your light as You are in the light.” Then we will have fellowship and not strife.
Merciful Father, as we prepare to enter another day; let us leave behind the baggage that creates division. Please impact our hearts, so we “make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit through the bond of peace.” Cause us to gain Your strength and exercise Your courage as we display self control, gentle spirits and loving hearts toward all. Holy God, may we walk faithfully in Holiness as we promote goodwill and harmony; especially among those in the household of faith.
We pray for grace to love, forgive and promote Your good will among others; and let us do it as unto You. Lord, please make us Your ambassadors of righteousness, wisdom and mercy. The world desperately needs to see Jesus in our hearts; hear You in our voices; and experience the power of Your Spirit through our deeds. Lord, please let it be so. In Jesus Name we pray and give thanks. Amen.
