What is Your Motive

Philippians 2:3–4 Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves, not looking to your own interests but each of you to the interests of the others.

Heavenly Father, we thank You for placing us in positions where we may serve others and in so doing, serve You. Remind us daily that the lives around us—our families, friends, neighbors, and co-workers—are opportunities to reflect Your love. Teach us to give our best in every relationship and every task You have entrusted to us. Then our lives would be living offerings of service to You - The Most High God.

Lord, protect our hearts from selfishness and rebellion against Your will. Guard us from becoming trouble-makers who place our desires above the mission You have given us. Instead, humble us to seek Your way over our own, shaping us into servants of compassion, patience, and grace. Help us to always remember that serving others is not a burden but a sacred calling.

Gracious God, let our highest honor be in building up Your Kingdom by strengthening people and programs that glorify Christ. Let us never fall into the shame of tearing down what You are building. Oh God, please fill us with faith, wisdom, and courage to stand as Kingdom builders, instruments of Your peace, and vessels of Your holy love. Holy God, this is our prayer.  In Jesus Name. Amen.
