Lord, Do It

Exodus 34: 5-6 And the Lord descended in the cloud and stood there with him as he called upon the name of the Lord. 6 Then the Lord passed by in front of him and proclaimed, “The Lord, the Lord God, compassionate and merciful, slow to anger, and abounding in faithfulness and truth;

Lord, You are compassionate and gracious, slow to anger and overflowing with love and faithfulness. In a world that measures worth by status, followers, income, and achievements, remind us what truly matters. Titles fade. Applause disappears. Success shifts. The outward beauty the world values gradually fades with age. But a heart shaped by Your mercy carries eternal weight. Keep us from building our identity on what we accomplish, how we look, or what others think of us. Anchor us instead in who we are in You—secure in Your love, accepted through Christ, and held by Your grace

Heavenly Father, may we love You with everything in us and love difficult people with the love You pour into our hearts. When we are tired, stressed, or misunderstood, help us choose patience and gentleness rather than frustration, annoyance, and anger. Help us forgive as we have been forgiven. Let our faith be more than words, posts, or good intentions. Make it real. Make it steady. Form our character in private so that our faith in You stands firm in public.

As we step into this day, teach us to walk humbly and live boldly for what is right. Strip away pride and comparison. Guard us from measuring ourselves by money, image, or achievements. A skyscraper may look impressive from the outside, but if the foundation is cracked, it will not endure when the pressure comes. Build our lives deep in You, so that when storms come, we remain grounded in You. Replace the need to prove ourselves with self-control and quiet confidence rooted in Christ. May obedience to You be our measure of success, humility our strength, and love our signature. Lord, we want to please You in all things.  Thank You, Lord. Amen.
