Walk Humbly

Micah 6:6-8 6.With what shall I come to the Lord And bow myself before the God on high? Shall I come to Him with burnt offerings, With yearling calves? 7 Does the Lord take delight in thousands of rams, In ten thousand rivers of oil? Shall I present my firstborn for my rebellious acts, The fruit of my body for the sin of my soul? 8 He has told you, O man, what is good; And what does the Lord require of you But to do justice, to love kindness, And to walk humbly with your God?

Lord, we pray for faith that honors and reflects You in our every thought, word and deed. Father God, our abilities, gifts and talents mean nothing if they are not being used according to Your divine and preordained purposes.

Our money, good looks, charm and social connections do not impress You.  Instead You are pleased with our righteousness, our willingness to show mercy, our kindness and the desire to walk humbly with You. Lord, You prize good and Godly character; our love for You; our desire to treat others with dignity and respect; and our willingness to follow You.

Today we pray for spiritual wisdom and strength to remain in constant prayer as we grow in our understanding and obedience to Your Holy Word. Dear God, please  fill us with Your Holy Spirit and let us accomplish Your purposes on earth; even as it is in heaven.  May we always remember our spiritual mandate to walk according to Your will and way for our lives; representing Your goodness at all times and in all things. Lord, please let it be so.  In Jesus Name and for His sake. Amen.
