Genesis 12:1-2. The LORD had said to Abram, "Leave your country, your people and your father's household and go to the land I will show you. I will make you into a great nation and I will bless you; I will make your name great, and you will be a blessing.
Merciful God, thank You for the people You place in our lives—friends, family, and others who walk with us through the ups and downs. You never meant for us to do life alone. You made us to share joy and carry hard moments together, with You at the center. Thank You for staying with us in every season and for reminding us, through others, that we’re not walking this road by ourselves.
Lord, You are the source of all that is good, and yet You so often choose to meet our needs through people. Sometimes it’s a conversation at just the right time, someone who listens, a meal shared, or a call that comes when we really need it. Help us recognize the people You’ve placed around us, even when they don’t fit what we expected. Teach us to notice when we need help and when it’s our turn to step in for someone else.
Help us understand that giving and receiving are part of how You care for everyone. No one is above it, and no one is left out. At different times, we all give, and at different times, we all receive—and both matter.
Thank You for people we can trust, and for trusting us to care for others too. Help us give freely, without keeping score, and receive openly, without pride or embarrassment. Remind us that what You place in our hands is not meant to stay there, but to be shared. Lord, we are thankful to be blessed so we can be a blessing. In Jesus’ Name we pray. Amen.
