Unshakable

Matthew 16:18 I tell you that you are Peter, and on this rock I will build my church, and the gates of Hades will not overcome it.

Heavenly Father, no matter what we face or what we see happening around us today, remind us that Your plans for our lives go far beyond what we can see right now. Sometimes circumstances look bad, pain runs deep, and our mistakes can weigh heavily on us. But You are still Lord over every storm we face. You still have purpose for our lives, and You still have blessings ahead of us. Because we know You, we always have a reason to hope for better days. We can stand with confidence because even the gates of hell will not prevail against Your people.

Father God, sometimes life feels overwhelming. The news isn’t always good, things don’t always go the way we hoped, and there are moments when we feel like we’re facing everything by ourselves. When anxiety and doubt begin to take over, remind us that our lives are never out of Your control. We are safely held in Your hands. Help us trust that You can use even difficult circumstances for our good and Your glory. When we go through trials, help us grow through them, become stronger in our faith, and draw closer to You. Lord, we put our full trust in You.

When the storms finally pass, help us look back and recognize Your hand more clearly. Help us see how You were working even when we couldn’t understand what You were doing. We may get knocked down, but with You, we don’t have to stay down. Weeping may last through the night, but joy comes in the morning. Holy God, You are all we need. Circumstances are temporary, but Your purpose, Your presence, and Your sovereignty will never change. Our faith and trust rest in You. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.
