Psalm 28:7 The Lord is my strength and my shield; My heart trusts in Him, and I am helped; Therefore my heart triumphs, And with my song I shall thank Him.
Dear God in Heaven, the recent days have been filled with trying circumstances. We are experiencing health uncertainties; fiscal insecurities; political intrigue; and more. Lord it goes on and on; creating a measure of instability in each of our lives. No one is exempt from the struggles. And no one escapes worries associated with living in this sin-filled world.
Father God, in times like these we need a Savior; we need an Anchor. The song writer reminds us that we must “be sure our anchor holds and grips the Solid Rock!” He goes on to say: “This Rock is Jesus; He's the One. This Rock is Jesus, the only One.” Lord, we are grateful that in our weakness, Your strength is manifested. You promise we can always cry out to You in Jesus Name; and feel the power and assurance from our “Spiritual Rock.”
It is Jesus who carries the weight of our burdens; dries our teary eyes; and gives us strength for the day’s journey. He is our security; our fountain of joy for today; and our source of hope for tomorrow. Our hearts cry out in resounding affirmation as we tell a dying world: “our Rock is Jesus!” He is The Sovereign, Almighty, Everlasting God who IS all we need; and all we ever hope for. We are truly blessed. Thank You Lord. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen
