Romans 12:1-2 Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God—this is your true and proper worship. 2 Do not conform to the pattern of this world; but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Father God, as we enter a new calendar year, we pray for the strength and wisdom to abandon old habits and ways of thinking that do not honor You. Lord, we desire to be changed. We long to fulfill Your purposes and to impact the world for the sake of Your great Name. In a world where everyone aspires to be an “influencer,” may our lives point others to Jesus.
Lord, we begin this journey when we accept Jesus as our Savior. From there, we are continually transformed as our minds are renewed by the truth of Your Holy Word and our hearts are changed by the work of the Holy Spirit who dwells within us. It is within the pages of Scripture, and by the power of the Spirit, that we find a compass when we lose our way; light when darkness surrounds us; encouragement when hope seems distant; and strength to stand when the winds of adversity blow without ceasing. Master, we find power, purpose, and provision in You.
Holy God, we pray for greater zeal, determination, and commitment to read and study Your Word daily. We also pray for greater discernment as we seek to hear and follow the leading of Your Holy Spirit. In 2026 and in all the years to come, our hope is in You all day long. Thank You for being our God. Thank You for being our Guide.
In Jesus’ name, we pray and give thanks. Amen.
