Right Where You Need Him

Psalm 23: 1-3 The Lord is my shepherd; I shall not want. 2 He maketh me to lie down in green pastures: he leadeth me beside the still waters. 3 He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Gracious God, we recognize that our journey through life is not always easy. There are many rough places along the way. But You, O Lord, are our shield, and You promise never to leave nor forsake us. You are with us every step of the way. Your presence assures us that we can stand—not in our own strength, but in Yours. By the power of Your might, Lord, we stand. And we believe that, with You, we will make it through the storms of life, and we will “get home before the dark.”

Thank You for being our faithful guide—walking with us and shepherding us down roads we never imagined we would travel. Even when we find ourselves in unfamiliar places, unsure of what lies ahead, we are reminded that if we walk with Jesus, we can endure. When we place our faith, trust, and obedience in You, we discover the victory, peace, and contentment our hearts long for.

We confess that there are days when we feel spiritually weak. Doubts and fears overwhelm us, and we wonder how we will make it through. Lord, in those moments, no plan or dream of our own can guarantee peace or victory. It is only through Your wisdom that we find the way forward, and only in Your strength that we press on. In our most trying times, You transform darkness into light and our mourning into joy. Only You, Lord.

Help us now, we pray, to seek Your will and direction for our lives. Guide us to that quiet place of assurance and joy—a place where we stop relying on what we can calculate or control and cling to You alone. Holy God, please give us the spiritual strength to follow You faithfully, and trust You every step of the way. We love You, Lord. In Jesus’ Name we pray and give thanks, Amen.
