John 14:27 Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid.
Father God, sometimes You move us from our comfort zones and elevate us to levels of discomfort. Relationship issues; troubling family matters; grief; health concerns; financial challenges all have ways of creeping into our lives and creating havoc with our emotions. Oftentimes, when problems rise to levels beyond our ability to manage, we desperately seek solutions; searching high and low for ways to rid ourselves of pain. But when we cry out to You, our Living God, we find all we need to persevere and endure the trial.
Lord, please help us realize that You work all things in life together for our good and Your glory. And it is often through life’s difficult times that You grow our faith and trust in You. You show us that Your promises are true and Your grace is sufficient for every circumstance we encounter. And You give us enough courage and resources for the journey. Lord, when we cry out to You we find Your peace, Your power and Your presence. And we know, without a doubt, in Your strength we will make it.
Today let us be wise enough to seek You and Your righteousness in the midst of our storms. Enlarge our spiritual vision, so we can see You standing with outstretched arms in the darkness of out midnight experiences. Thank You for placing Your hand on us, and giving the strength and comfort we so desperately need. Lord, with our spiritual eyes opened wide, we see all of Heaven is on our side and our victory in Jesus is sure. Glory hallelujah! “Victory in Jesus, our Savior FOREVER…”! In Jesus Name we pray and give thanks. Amen.
