Peace Like a River

John 14: 25 - 27 25 These things I have spoken to you while remaining with you. 26 But the Helper, the Holy Spirit whom the Father will send in My name, He will teach you all things, and remind you of all that I said to you. 27 Peace I leave you, My peace I give you; not as the world gives, do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, nor fearful.

Father God, You call us to Salvation through the work of the Holy Spirit who dwells in the hearts of the redeemed. Through His counsel You teach us to live obediently before You. Scripture tells us the Holy Spirit is our Helper whom You sent. It is He who teaches us all things and reminds us of Your will for our lives.

The moment of salvation is the beginning of a wonderful journey in Your presence.  And each day we are summoned to new life in Your Name; a journey that cannot be achieved apart from You. As we grow more and more submissive to The Spirit’s presence and power within us, Your love grows increasingly more rich and satisfying. We come to love and obey You more and more as the days go by. Today our earnest prayer is to walk in, through and by the power of Your Spirit whom You so graciously provide.

Lord, we pray for the strength, humility and power to walk holy and acceptable lives before You. Through His power we grow closer in our relationship with You; and we gain victory in Jesus both now and forever. Thank You for the power of Your Spirit and the depths of Your love. In Jesus Name we pray and give thanks. Amen.
