Leaning

NUMBERS 6:25–26 The LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you; the LORD turn his face toward you and give you peace.
Father God, today we pray for Your strength as we take time to sit in Your presence and enjoy Your peace. No matter what is going on around us, we seek the calm assurance that comes from knowing You. This inner treasure continues to increase as we grow to trust You more and more. When we stand in Your strength, circumstances cannot touch our peaceful contentment in You; hardships cannot ruin it, and thieves can’t take it away.
Lord, Your Son died a criminal’s death to secure the blessings of our peace with You and with one another. Help us, we pray, to receive it gratefully and hide it deeply within the recesses of our hearts. Today, we take time to breathe slowly and deeply as we relax in Your divine presence. We enjoy the radiance of Your light as Your face shines upon us and provides freedom from spiritual disturbance. The more stressed and overwhelmed we feel, the more we require a sacred space of peace and time to commune with You.
Lord, we just sit here—not talking, just listening for Your voice. We remain quiet and still before You, with our eyes shut and our minds focused on You alone. Thank You for Jesus, our Jehovah Shalom and our soon-coming King. Thank You for the spiritual serenity You give in good measure to those who seek it and to those who are ready to be blessed with Your peace that surpasses all understanding. Thank You, Lord, for this and every blessing we receive from Your hands of love, grace, and mercy. Thank You for being our Prince of Peace. In Jesus’ name, we pray and give thanks. Amen.
