Ecclesiastes 3: 1-4
To everything there is a season, A time for every purpose under heaven: 2 A time to be born, And a time to die; A time to plant, And a time to pluck what is planted; 3 A time to kill, And a time to heal; A time to break down, And a time to build up; 4 A time to weep, And a time to laugh; A time to mourn, And a time to dance.
Father God, We make countless decisions throughout our lives—often without knowing their long-term impact. We wonder how the choices we make today will shape our own future and affect the lives of others. Yet, Lord, only You see what lies ahead with perfect clarity. You alone hold our yesterday, our today, and our tomorrow securely in the palm of Your hand.
As we acknowledge Your omnipotence, omnipresence, and omniscience, we are reminded that You always know the best course for us. You know when we should buy or sell, stay or go, join or release. Your Word teaches that “to everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under Heaven,” and You alone set the times and seasons in our lives. Merciful God, our lives truly rest in Your hands.
Lord, we pray for wisdom to seek You at every turn. Teach us to hear Your voice, trust Your way, and exercise the faith to act according to Your holy will. Shape our thoughts and the meditations of our hearts so they align with Your plans and fulfill Your divine purposes.
Lord, only You can see past the ruins, beyond the sunset, and into our futures. You alone know the path we should take. Holy God, help us to recognize Your footprints and follow You in faith—one step at a time, one day at a time. Let it be so this day and every day to come.
In Jesus’ Name we pray and give thanks. Amen.
