Isaiah 40:31 But they that wait upon the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings as eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; and they shall walk, and not faint.
Gracious Father, there are times when we pray and pray, but heaven appears silent; no answers to be heard and no solutions found. The days may grow into seasons. And the message from heaven may remain “not yet.” Lord God, during such times, please uncover our eyes to see Your divine hand achieving Your perfect will. And let us remain content as You conform our thoughts to Your thoughts; inspiring our hearts with confidence and courage to wait on You.
Gracious God, may we never forget that Biblical waiting doesn’t mean we sit and do nothing. While we await Your answers, please give direction and strength to continue to do the work You’ve ordained for our hands. Hungry individuals yet need food; lonely people are still longing for human contact; and lost sinners need to know about the saving grace of Jesus Christ. May we walk while we wait and wait while we walk; knowing You are still doing great things in and through our lives. And in our waiting You are working.
Loving God, please bless us throughout this day and lead us in Your truth. Teach us, we pray; for You are the God of our salvation. And for You we will wait all day long. Lord, we trust Your perfect timing for all things and in all matters. In Jesus Name we pray and give thanks. Amen.
