Psalm 30:5 5 For his anger endureth but a moment; in his favour is life: weeping may endure for a night, but joy cometh in the morning.
Heavenly Father, life is often challenging. And whether sinner or saint, we face struggles along our journey through time. However, as men and women of God, we do not have to faint in the face of adversity; neither do we have to give up. We are reassured and encouraged by our hope in The Risen Savior, Jesus Christ our Lord. Because of His death and resurrection we obtain a great inheritance that is waiting for us when this “ole life is over.” Through poverty, sickness and pain, we possess a glorious reality that extends well beyond our current circumstances. It is the salvation of our souls and our eternal rest in Your presence.
Lord, during times of struggle, please cause us to remember we have hope, grace, glory and the abundant life in You. Please give us faith and strength to endure trials and grow from them. Throughout challenging times, may we always remember: Your grace is sufficient, Your mercy is bountiful and Your love is everlasting. When life feels overwhelming we can be encouraged by the certainty that You are always at work on our behalf. And You are transforming our terrible circumstances into that which will serve our greater good and illuminate Your surpassing glory.
Dear Lord, while we look forward to our complete transformation, help us to find rest and confidence in the truth that we were created to endure. We will make it through hard times and not sink because You equipped us for battle and empowered us to survive. Father God, by the power of Your Spirit we will keep going. Holy God, we are encouraged! In Jesus Name we pray and give thanks. Amen.
