Follow My Lead

John 14:15-17. “If you love me, you will obey my commandments. 16 I will ask the Father, and he will give you another helper who will be with you forever. 17 That helper is the Spirit of Truth

Father God, You have shown Your great love for the world by sending Your Son to die on the cross, paying the price for our sins. And then You sent the Holy Spirit to empower, guide, and lead us in righteousness. Lord, what an amazing and wonderful God You are! You not only provide us access to You through Jesus Christ, but You equip us with what we need to live as faithful followers of Christ. Holy God, we honor You as we strive to fulfill Your Kingdom purposes.

Now, Lord, we can show our love and gratitude toward You by submitting to Your authority and allowing You to rule in every area of our lives. Our obedience is one of our highest expressions of worship, our greatest opportunity to honor You, and a sincere demonstration of our trust and faith in You. Obedience is our hallelujah to You—the One who keeps us, provides for us, strengthens us, and faithfully leads us from earth to glory.

Holy God, You have secured the way through Jesus Christ. The Holy Spirit provides the power, and Jesus opens the door to salvation for all who believe that He died for our sins and rose again. Lord, our obedience is an expression of praise, our way of showing You honor, and our testimony to a world that needs to see Jesus living through us. Thank You for making the way, providing the power, and giving us the privilege of walking with You. In Jesus’ name, amen.
