A Prayer for You

Psalm 42:1-2 As the deer pants for the water brooks, so my soul pants for You, O God. My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God?

Holy and Kind God, You supply us food; shelter; telecommunication; clothing; and so much more. Let us not be ungrateful as were the children of Israel during their wilderness experience. Even as we experience the pressures of circumstances, sense the severity of the conditions in this world, and seek answers to unanswerable questions; we thank You. Lord, You are good to us all the time, wherever we go, and in any condition we find ourselves in. Good is who You are.  

Heavenly Father, we are grateful that You are The Eternal God of the ages.  Just being who You are is enough to make our hearts reverberate with joy, our minds find comfort and our souls find rest.  We are thankful that You are the Sovereign One who holds the keys to life and death; commands the winds and the waves; and rules heaven and earth.  You are God Almighty and Your presence, provisions and power are more than enough to sustain us during any storm we may face. Therein we gain the absolute peace reserved for those who trust You.

Merciful God, as we embark on a new day, please give us opportunities to demonstrate Your goodness and mercy to those around us.  When people see us, we want them to know that You live in our hearts and You rule our lives.  Thank You Lord.  In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
