Psalm 18:1-3 I love You, O Lord, my strength. 2 The Lord is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer, My God, my rock, in whom I take refuge; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold. 3 I call upon the Lord, who is worthy to be praised, And I am saved from my enemies.
Holy God, we can always rejoice in You, the God of our salvation; our Loving God who never leaves nor forsakes us. Merciful Father, You are our strength, our refuge, our sustainer, and our deliverer. You continually envelop us in Your grace and mercy; and cut through our darkness with the brilliance of Your love. You “keep our lamp(s) burning” and turn our shadows into beams of light. Lord, we trust that You are with us through every circumstance in our lives; and at all times. Even now.
Merciful Father, please help us hold onto our faith in Your goodness and loving care, even when we can’t sense Your presence. When trouble seems to hedge us in on every side, please remind us that standing somewhere in the darkness we can always find Jesus. Give us, we pray, confident hope and trust in Your provision and protection; and the certain assurance that in Your strength we can handle anything that comes our way. Yes Lord, we CAN do all things through Christ who gives us the strength.
Father in heaven, whether we’re enduring unpredictable storms or enjoying the stillness after the rains have passed, Your peace illuminates our way. And we come to understand that even Your redirection is our direction. You continually guide us towards the best path for us to follow, even if it doesn’t initially seem that way. LORD, we rest in Your will; and praise Your Holy and Righteous Name. In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
