Overwhelmed

1 Corinthians 1:10 10 Now I exhort you, brethren, by the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that you all agree and that there be no divisions among you, but that you be made complete in the same mind and in the same judgment.

Father God, as we grow stronger in You, we learn how to live in unity with one another. When we are rooted in You, we can honor our shared faith while making room for our differences. We stand together on the core truths of the gospel: that Jesus is fully God and fully man; born of a virgin; crucified, risen, and returning for His Church. He is the sinless Son of God who takes away the sin of the world. These truths bind us together by Your Spirit.

Your Word reminds us that when we walk in the light, as Christ is in the light, we have fellowship with one another. As we receive Christ and follow You with sincere hearts, Your Spirit draws us into unity. In that place, we begin to see one another not as obstacles, but as gifts, and we are able to work together for the purpose of advancing Your Kingdom on the earth.

Father, it is through the work of the Holy Spirit that we are purified and brought into unity with You and with each other, even when we are different. As we draw near to You, we rejoice in Your presence and reflect Your gentleness in our lives. We recognize that our unity with others flows from our relationship with You. Draw us closer—to Yourself and to one another—for the glory of Your Name. Thank You, Jesus. We give You praise and thanks. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
