You Are LORD

Acts 17:24-26

24  This God made the world and everything in it. He is Lord of heaven and earth, and he doesn't live in temples built by human hands. 25  He doesn't need help from anyone. He gives life, breath, and everything else to all people. 26  From one person God made all nations who live on earth, and he decided when and where every nation would be.

Gracious God, please give us the spiritual strength and conviction to place all our hope in You; and trust in You alone. Let us appropriately regard You as The Sovereign God who sustains the entire world in Your hands; the One without whom we cannot exist. Lord, You mix the chemical combination of the air we breathe and we are unable to inhale and exhale without You. You regulate all organs and systems in our body; causing our bodies to perform with a rhythm that sustains our lives. Without You the sun can’t shine, flowers won’t bloom and birds won’t sing. Lord, You hold all life in Your hands.

Dear God, may we never shift our focus, adoration or worship from You to material things and fleshly pursuits that can’t thoroughly satisfy us. We pray for spiritual wisdom to recognize You as the giver of every good and perfect gift. When we rise in the morning, let us thank and praise You for waking us. When we eat our breakfast, clothe ourselves and walk through the day; let us recognize we have nothing and can do nothing without You.

Lord, You are our redeemer, healer and provider of all that we need. Sometimes you use others to deliver the gift, but it all originates with You. Father God, thank You for saving us, thank You for raising us and thank You for keeping us all the days of our lives. You’ve been mighty good to us and we declare before men and angels that there is none like You. By the power of the shed blood of Jesus Christ, we stand in the truth that You are the One and Only True and Living God. We worship You alone. Thank You Lord.  We worship You.   In Jesus Name we pray. Amen.
