The Greatest Love Letter

John 20:30-31

30 And truly Jesus did many other signs in the presence of His disciples, which are not written in this book; 31 but these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name.

Father God, thank You for Your holy and infallible Word that connects us to Your heart; empowers us through the movement of Your Spirit; and redeems us by the salvific message of Jesus Christ. The Holy Bible is Your love letter and devotional to our lost world that lives in open rebellion against You. What a blessed gift it is to have free access to words that give life, hope and strength to live victoriously during this troubled time.

Lord, Your holy writing leads us to know who You are; helps us understand Your works in time and eternity; and tells us who we are as Your children. As we study Scriptures, we come to know the truth and recognize the lies. It convicts and warns us of sin; stirs our faith; makes us wise for salvation; sanctifies and matures us; and equips us to carry out Your ordained purposes on earth as it is in heaven.

Gracious God, thank You for Holy Scriptures that are powerful, complete and flawless. May we forever treasure Your words and hide them in our hearts - that we might not sin against You. Lord, Your Word is our eternal anchor. Thank You for the precious gift! In Jesus Name we pray and give thanks. Amen
